basically it is a webmail program that runs as an internet tool on any modern wordpress site, but requires the Metro Framework installed.
MMail does not provide or create email accounts, you must already have one, it is a mail client, technically known as MUA, which means mail user agent, identified in sent messages as PHP/myI MMail ForAll MUA UI-2.1.3, the number may change according to version upgrades.
MMail supports secure protocols like TLS and SSL to ensure that any message transfer from or to the email server is secure and properly encrypted. It is fully compatible with modern IMAP and SMTP protocols, encryption and authentication.
MMail is built for easy use, with strong security and performance under the hood. You will not find glamorous features or blinking icons, this tool is for serious people who need trust and reliability, whether on PC or Mobile.
The security model developed is built on a concept which requires a legitimate user, identified by any official document, like driver license, security number, CPF or RG in Brazil. The user may choose a fantasy name as account name, but with a document tied to his real identification. The registration process is very simple, and requires also one valid email account and its server name.
Once the user has his account created, what doesn’t take more than a minute or two, does not require additional steps, does not require a phone number or any of the typical implications big techs come up with. Intention is providing a good service and not to spy on your privacy, then he is directed to the MMail Interface and has full access to his emails stored on the indicated server for his account. Additional email accounts can be added without further user identification.
Data leak, as it often is described in a friendly manner, usually means that private information was stolen. MMail stores sensitive data in encrypted form, nobody can read it and so even stolen hard disks would reveal practically nothing and render the crime ineffecient.
The only micro moment a password lives in raw text is between user typing it and sending it to our server, it is encrypted instantly. Based on the password, the system creates a session token, so the user password is not needed anymore. If the user stays away for some time, the system might require a re-authentication and asks for the document id and password. A frequent user rarely needs to retype his password, does not get nagged by asking for identifying bicycles or animals on barely recognizable images, nor has to wait for messages on some other device or whatever.
Here, privacy is not just a word, it is still exactly what the word means, and it is the user’s privacy, unconditional. We do not change the policy, we are not interested in know anything of your life, we just want to provide a good email service. That’s all.
We also do not add advertising of any kind, not now, not ever. MMail is a work tool and not a secret money making machine.
You will miss colorful graphics, blinking icons or other typical funny feature bloat. MMail has what you need to do your work and not thousand options to configure fancy whims. MMail is not an agenda, is not a mailing list tool, not a mass mail sender, is not a custumer relationship management (CRM), not groupware or whatever wild inventions others added to an email client over the last years, so let’s say it this way, it is back to the roots of being a user oriented email client … please enjoy
